The Beauty of Pain.

I am young that is true, but I have experienced quite a bit of pain and heartache in my life so far.
I’ve been pushed down, brought low..
Ive been condemned, accused, and assaulted by all forms of evil including my own heart.
Many times in my life Ive been blinded and have fallen in a pit. Ive been used, forgotten, rejected and neglected.
Ive been wounded many times by this world and I have the scars in my soul to prove it. I have set my hope in many things and many things have faithfully disappointed.
I was a baby born into the world clenching on to many things that would never rescue me or satisfy me. These Idols made me a leper and left me for dead.

All in all.. I have experienced Pain and Loneliness. Lots of it in fact.
Who knew that pain would be such a common friend in this life. Its sad to think but only if you look at it with faithless eyes, but if we look at pain with eyes of faith, it can be in fact a blessing in disguise.

There is a quote that I love from Hafiz. he says  “don't surrender your loneliness so quickly; let it cut you more deep. Let it ferment and season you as few humans and even divine ingredients can. Something missing in my heart tonight has made my eyes so soft, my voice so tender, my need for God absolutely clear.”

When one is in pain one is inclined to turn towards something greater than himself. This pain can be a blessing in disguise. It tells us of our true Need. WE WERE MADE FOR GOD. we were made to be enjoyed, satisfied and fulfilled by God. Anything other than God used to satisfy any deep longing of our heart will result in complete failure and disappointment. Pain is the fruit and baby of a fallen and sinful world. But know that what the Devil meant for evil, God used for good (1Thess3:1-3). Pain can now be an escort to a Merciful Father whose intention is Redemption, Restoration and Satisfaction.

I want to encourage you friend that in the moment of pain - whether that be the pain of loneliness, the pain of disappointment, or the pain of failure- open up the palm of your hands, lift up your eyes and daily admit your need for a savior. I promise you that if you do this He WILL come. None who wait for the Lord will ever be put to shame (ps 25:3). For as surely as the sun rises, He will respond. He will come like the rain; like the spring rain that waters the earth (Hosea 6:3). And like in Psalms 18 when David cried out to God in distress, God comes down from the heavens. With a Jealous Love as strong as Death He comes down with eyes of fire, smoke from his nostrils and fire in his mouth. He comes swiftly on the wings of the wind with lighting and thunder all around Him. He will rescue you because He delights in you. He has redeemed you back to himself. And he will restore all that is broken.
May we be a people who yoke ourselves to Jesus. The Merciful counselor, Friend. May we not walk in bitterness and offense but with our eyes Fixed on Jesus we can rejoice in all things, knowing that in ALL things He works together for the good of those who Love Him.

Psalm 30:11 “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever.”
